Service Description

Monday evenings 8:30-10:00pm Dive into the world of Talmud with Raphael Dascalu. In these sessions, we will read selections from all over the Talmud, to get a sense of its culture, the scope and range of its topics, and its central ideas and assumptions. We will cover a range of legal, ethical, and mythical material, and read the texts in their literary and historical context. Whether you're new to Talmud or have delved into its depths before, this class is for anyone interested in exploring this most challenging and surprising of texts. Please note that you don’t need to commit to all the weeks of the course to sign up. You're welcome to register even if you're just interested in trying it out — the process is designed for your convenience.
