About the event
What: Night Forest is a ritual game where players embark on a journey of discovery through exploring and sharing memories and yearnings. The players move through the space in the dark, by candlelight. Illustrated cards are used as prompts, inspiring stories and forming new connections with each player that is encountered.
The 'spiritual sense' of Av is that of listening. This ‘game’ of Night Forest beckons us to listen deeply, as we literally witness each other illuminated by the spark of light: offering an opportunity to reveal that which has been concealed, the light within the darkness. Although Av is a month which holds darkness, it transmutes to hope, spiritual returning and revealing of unity. We will explore these themes as we play: Weaving a beautiful web; cultivating skills of contemplation, listening, witnessing, vulnerability and creating safe community.
This experience includes a community Havdalah.
